Be prepared for a truly unique family camping adventure! If you like to camp in a tent, you'll really love the comforts of our Gypsy Wagons! They're authentic reproductions in size and interior appointments based on actual research and photographs of 19th century wagons in Britain. (The genuine wagons did not have electricity like ours do, however!) And ours are stationary, nestled in a little wooded glade. Gypsy women took great pride in their little homes on wheels, and the wagons were painted in bright colors with stenciling and decorative wood trims inside and out.

We've copied the sleeping arrangements from Irish wagons with double-decker beds, (ours have two queen-size Coleman mattresses), which can sleep two adults and two children. There is an operable window at each level for air circulation, as well as two other operable windows.

Rate is based upon two adults. There is a $15.00 charge for each extra person. Maximum occupancy is 2 adults and two children.

Our wagons also include a ceiling fan/light, a small refrigerator, microwave oven (we do not allow open flame cooking in our woods), several other outlets and lights including a double reading light over one bed, a small food preparation area, three cupboards, hooks for hanging clothes, a mirror, a small table with two chairs, a door that locks, a front porch with two more chairs and a picnic table.

 There is a "path to the bath" in true 19th century fashion. The path is lighted at night and the "bath" has a clean porta-jon and shower facilities, (one each for men and women), with lavatories and an outside faucet for filling water containers. 

We provide  water and ice in your containers. You are welcome to reserve dinner at the Castle, and lunch is also available Thursday through Sunday from May through mid-November.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS NO SMOKING IN ANY OF OUR ACCOMMODATIONS. If we can smell smoke or ashes in any of our accommodations, we will need to close it down for several days for special cleaning. There is a $500.00 special cleaning fee.

	What others say about Ravenwood Castle: Our stay at Ravenwood Castle and Medieval Village was delightful. We camped in one of the "Gypsy" wagons, and my children especially enjoyed the unique experience of staying at such an unusual place. It had electricity but no running water, and was quite pleasant. The interior had a high level of finishing and was comfortable but not fancy. It was like a little house inside. I enjoyed sitting on the porch and reading.
