Murder on Platform 9 3/4 – Jan 26th & 27th

The 2017-2018 Murder Mystery season is well underway, and what an interesting season it’s been so far! Our agents have solved mysteries while dodging zombies and dinosaurs; crossed lightsabers with suspects; and in the coming weeks will be hunting vampires and racing the doomsday clock!

But as much as we love coming up with new themes and adventures, you just know we’re going to make time in the season to visit one of our most popular settings. So grab your wands and cauldrons, as we return once again to the wizarding world!

The Ravenwood Detective Agency is no stranger to solving magical crimes. With the number of high profile cases our agents have closed in the wizarding world, it is no surprise that the Agency has become the Ministry’s first call whenever magic and muggles meet at a crime scene.

Such a scene unfolded this past weekend at King’s Cross train station. It started as a normally busy day at the station. A bright flash was followed by a loud crash, and then screaming. When the dust settled overturned carts, upset trunks and dozens of school books littered the floor between the number 9 and 10 platforms. More disturbingly, a body lay amidst the carnage. A body which appeared to be stuck halfway through a solid brick wall, approximately three quarters of the way between the two platforms.

Working with Muggle authorities, the Ministry of Magic quickly spread a cover story involving a freak construction accident. The muggles may be satisfied, but the Ministry suspects that this was no accident. After all the hidden entrance to Platform 9 ¾ is an extremely stable enchantment, and is routinely monitored. The portal’s unprecedented failure grows even more suspicious when considering that the victim was none other than the newest Defense Against the Dark Arts professor.

Was the portal’s failure in fact an unfortunate accident, or the result of magical sabotage? Was the professor specifically targeted, or simply extremely unlucky?

The Ministry of Magic wants answers. Witches, wizards and muggles alike are invited to join the Ravenwood Detective Agency January 26th & 27th to seek them out!

Tickets for Murder on Platform 9 ¾ are $100, and include Saturday night’s dinner. As with all of our mysteries, the event starts with dinner on Friday. Late arrivals will be accommodated as best as possible, but to enjoy the full experience please attempt to arrive early Friday evening.

And stay tuned for more announcements about our exciting 2017-2018 mystery season!
