Ravenwood Castle is proud to announce our Raven Roost Pub Sponsor for Hoop & Stick Con 2020: Victory Brewing and Southern Tier Brewing! We will be joined at the convention by Neil Mentzer of Artisanal Brewing Ventures, who will showcase Southern Tier and Victory products, and host a couple of informal beer tastings – all for the benefit of Extra Life and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals!

Victory Brewing Company started in Downingtown, Pennsylvania and was opened in February of 2006 by its founders, Bill Covaleski and Ron Barchet.  Victory is dedicated to not only providing the highest quality for its customers in every stage of the brewing process, but is devoted to sustainability – 100% of the spent grain is used to feed cattle and pigs at local farms. One of the most recognized lineups Victory has is the Monkey family: Golden Monkey, Sour Monkey, and Twisted Monkey. Who knows what summer will bring! Southern Tier Brewing Company was born in 2002 from the minds of its founders: Phineas DeMink, Sara DeMink and Allen “Skip” Yahn. With its grand opening the following year, Southern Tier had the original lineup of IPA, Pilsner, Mild and Porter. Over the years, Southern Tier grew significantly with warehouse space and volume/type of beer being sold. In 2016, one of their busiest years, they partnered with Victory Brewing, opened the distillery and launched a packaging refresh. Some of Southern Tier’s chief products are the seasonal Pumkings, 2XIPA, Mango Crush, and their Blackwater Series. Make sure you snag a taste of Cherry Crush – a seasonal session sour – while you still can before March rolls around!

The Raven’s Roost Pub at Ravenwood Castle will be featuring several brews from the Southern Tier/Victory lineup during Hoop & Stick Con 2020. Our sister company The Malted Meeple in Northeast Ohio will showcase an even larger lineup from Southern Tier and Victory, as well as some great brews from Sixpoint, the third brewery under the Artisanal Brewing Ventures umbrella.
