Ravenwood Castle Room Recommendations

Ravenwood Castle has 21 accommodations between our Castle rooms, cottages, and cabins. Trying to decide on where to stay for your trip can be difficult as each of our rooms has a different theme, making it an exciting destination time and time again! This week on Quoth the Raven we are highlighting some of our favorite spots, depending on whether you’re travelling to Ravenwood for a family vacation, romantic getaway, or weekend trip with friends.

Family Vacation

The Silversmith’s House in our Medieval Village has an occupancy of six guests and is our largest accommodation onsite. Upon entering, you will find beautiful conical roofs and towers that are sure to impress the whole crew. The first floor is comprised of a spacious sitting area with a futon and kitchenette.

The kitchenette is equipped a microwave, mini fridge, basic dishware, coffee maker, and a two-basin sink! There are two bedrooms in Silversmith’s and the king bedroom upstairs has a large whirlpool tub and separate shower. The queen bedroom is next to a half bath downstairs. There are TWO decks that face the woods which make for ideal late-night stargazing or early morning coffee sipping. Grab a game from our board game library and enjoy your stay!

The Baker’s and Brewer’s Cottages are two of the newest additions to our Medieval Village. Across the parking lot from the Castle, Baker’s and Brewer’s both have a cozy sitting area when you enter with cathedral ceilings and fireplace. Have a meal at the table in the common area (these are also fully equipped with a kitchenette) or get some privacy in one of the two bedrooms. One bedroom has a set of bunkbeds while the other has a queen-sized bed. There is a private bathroom and shower in each accommodation, and both feature front porches. When you leave either cottage and head toward the Castle, you will stumble upon a firepit with benches – perfect for late night smores or stargazing!

Romantic Getaway

Cinderella’s Coach House is the epitome of romance and that is why we recommend it for any guest looking for a romantic getaway. Cinderella’s Coach House is a second-story suite located above the Drawing Room. While you ascend the stairs, you will look and see the heart-shaped garden below, giving you just a taste of the beauty behind the doors.

Cinderella’s Coach House is adorned with deep golds, maroons, and features two beautiful stained-glass windows. There are two cozy armchairs to sit in near the gas fireplace, perfect after a day of hiking or gaming. There is a double whirlpool tub with shower, a unique king-size bed, and a full kitchenette. Just a short walk from the main Castle doors, Cinderella’s Coach House offers the privacy and comfort you want out of a weekend away.

Trip with Friends

If you and a group of friends are travelling to the Hocking Hills area, there is no better place to stay than the Huntsman’s Hollow Cabins at Ravenwood Castle! A short drive or hike down the Castle hill, the Huntsman’s Hollow is comprised of five cabins almost identical in nature. There is a small creek nearby as well as a firepit with swinging benches surrounding it. This spot is perfect for late-night drinks or snacks enjoying each other’s company.

Huntsman Hollow's Fire Pit

Each cabin features a private bedroom with queen bed, a separate bathroom with shower, a common room with kitchenette and a futon-for-two, and an enclosed porch. Porches are perfect sites for gaming or enjoying the breeze on a hot summer night. Each cabin can sleep up to four guests.

Ravenwood welcomes groups of all kinds and we hope that this small guide gives you some ideas on where you might stay on your next visit the Castle. We specialize in Murder Mysteries and gaming conventions, so make sure you are subscribed to be the first to know about our exciting future events!
