I am excited to announce the arrival of our next Beer Tasting Weekend! For those of you who are not familiar with our Beer Tasting Weekends, they aren’t your normal beer tasting dinner. These tastings last all weekend long, and include two days full of good food, great beer and awesome breweries! This next tasting event will be held June 7^th & 8^th, 2024, and spotlights Saucy Brew Works and Troegs Independent Brewing.

Friday’s dinner features the return of one of our favorite breweries, and our perennial Hoop & Stick Con sponsor, Saucy Brew Works. We will be joined by Matt from Saucy, who will share their amazing lineup with us. Friday evening will begin with potato skins with applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese and green onions paired with Sesh Hazy New England IPA; spinach salad with goat cheese, cranberries and toasted almonds with balsamic dressing paired with El Lager; smoked chicken quarters, roasted rosemary red potatoes and green beans paired with Juicy ASAP; and chocolate caramel brownies paired with Brownie Batter What’s His Nuts. Dinner will be followed by an extra, after dinner sampling of Foxbia, Saucy’s Imperial White Stout.

Saturday’s dinner features the Ravenwood Castle debut of Troegs Independent Brewing out of Pennsylvania. Alex Beck from Troegs will be on hand to share some of their beers with us. Saturday will begin with pesto, roma tomatoes and cheese wood fired flatbread paired with Field Study IPA; hearts of romaine salad with parmesan cheese, croutons and Ceasar dressing paired with Sunshine Pilsner; smoked brisket, garlic mashed potatoes and maple glazed carrots paired with Graffiti Highway; and warm apple crisp with fresh whipped cream paired with LaGrave. Alex has promised a fifth TBD beer in the lineup, either as a welcome beer or an after dessert treat.

As is customary during our beer tasting weekends, there will be an informal tasting Saturday at noon, which will feature some of our favorite offerings from the Raven’s Roost Pub. And of course we will be offering a great lineup of beer, including more from Saucy and Troegs in the Pub all weekend long.
