Beer Tasting Weekend – Dec 6th & 7th!

I am thrilled to announce the next installment in our series of popular Beer Tasting Weekends! For those of you who are unfamiliar with these events, they aren’t your normal beer tasting dinner. These tastings last all weekend, and include two days full of good food, great beer and awesome breweries! This next tasting event will be held December 6th & 7th, 2024, and spotlights Parsons North Brewing and Yellow Springs Brewery.

Friday’s dinner features the debut of Parsons North Brewing out of Columbus. We will be joined by Nathan Klein, Owner and Director of Operations, who will share some of their amazing lineup of brews with us. Friday evening’s dinner will begin with pesto, roma tomatoes & cheese with wood fired flatbread paired with Parson’s East Coast IPA; hearts of romaine salad with Caesar dressing with parmesan cheese & croutons paired with Kolsch; smoked brisket and garlic mashed potatoes with maple glazed carrots paired with American Stout; and warm apple crisp with fresh whipped cream paired with Doppelbock. Dinner will be followed by an extra, after dinner sampling of Mexican Hot Chocolate Imperial Stout.

Saturday’s dinner features another newcomer to Ravenwood Castle, Yellow Springs Brewery from the Dayton area. Jayson Hartings, Yellow Spring’s COO and former Head Brewer, will join us to share some of their beers and a bit about the brewery. Saturday will begin with a welcome beer, Boat Show IPA. Saturday’s meal will feature smoked chicken wings in buffalo sauce with blue cheese paired with Captain Stardust Saison; spinach salad, toasted almonds, dried cranberries and goat cheese with raspberry vinaigrette paired with Raspberry Springer Fruited Golden Ale; bourbon & brown sugar glazed pork loin, roasted red potatoes and brussel sprouts with balsamic reduction paired with Handsome Brown Ale; and New York Cheesecake Bites paired with Jord’s Bounty Viking Winter Ale.

As is traditional during our beer tasting weekends, there will be an informal tasting Saturday at noon, which will feature some of our favorite offerings from the Raven’s Roost Pub. And of course we will be offering a great lineup of beer, including more from Parsons North and Yellow Springs in the Pub all weekend long.

Please note that the event starts with dinner on Friday. Late arrivals will be accommodated as best as possible, but to enjoy the full experience please attempt to arrive early Friday evening.
