The Dungeon Master’s Demise – Jan 24th & 25th!
It’s hard to believe that it’s mid-October, and that our murder mystery announcements have already reached the second half of the 2024-2025 season! This week I’m thrilled to announce the sixth mystery of the season and the first of the 2025 calendar year. Please join Chief Detectives Michelle and Ryan as they lead the Ravenwood Detective Agency in the third installment of our tabletop roleplaying inspired mysteries, the Dungeon Master’s Demise…
The rain pounded against the windows of Ravenwood Castle’s library. Inside, the atmosphere was warm and friendly, the dimly lit room ringing with the low hum of conversation. Around the large wooden table sat a group of friends, intent on the dice, maps, and character sheets in front of them. They were deep into a marathon Dungeons & Dragons campaign led by their enigmatic game master, a Dungeon Master with a reputation for creating thrilling, deadly scenarios.
As the night wore on, one by one the players’ characters fell to brutal, unforeseen twists and traps. Tensions in the game rose, but all seemed to be in good fun – until the next morning. The Dungeon Master was found dead at the bottom of the staircase, the steps littered with a scattered pile of dice.
Was this merely an accident? A careless misstep on a pile of misplaced dice? Or had one of their own sought vengeance for their fallen character? The Ravenwood Detective Agency is calling all agents, novice and veteran alike, to answer these questions and more. Join us January 24th & 25th for The Dungeon Master’s Demise!
Tickets for The Dungeon Master’s Demise are $100. As with all of our mysteries, the event starts after dinner on Friday. Late arrivals will be accommodated as best as possible, but to enjoy the full experience please attempt to arrive early Friday evening.
SPECIAL NOTE: Please be aware that while the theme of this mystery involves a game of Dungeons & Dragons gone wrong, the event itself is a murder mystery weekend with all of the usual activities, and is not in fact a game of Dungeons & Dragons.
If you haven’t been to one of our mystery weekends and are wondering what they are all about, check out our Anatomy of a Murder Mystery page for all of the details.
