Around this time of year, you will start to see us talking about “Hoop & Stick Con Online”. We’ll be talking about it a lot over the next few weeks. Before it all starts, we wanted to take a moment to fill you in on all the details of one of our most anticipated events!

WHAT IS HOOP & STICK CON?

Hoop & Stick Con is Ravenwood Castle’s annual fundraising convention. It is a one-of-a-kind weekend that combines board games, RPG adventures, beer and whiskey tastings, general gaming goodness, and fundraising – all within the walls of the Castle! Held every February, Hoop & Stick Con isn’t just about gaming; it’s gaming for a cause. For over a decade, Hoop & Stick Con has been raising money for children’s hospitals, contributing more than $150,000 to date!

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

Each year, the event sells out completely. To expand our fundraising capacity, we introduced Hoop & Stick Con Online in 2023, and it’s been a tremendous success. Anyone anywhere can participate in the auction and take home fantastic prizes. With 35+ unique bundles ranging from weekend getaways to adventure-packed activity bundles, there’s something for everyone. All proceeds from the auction go directly to Extra Life, which is a fundraising arm of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

BUNDLE SPOTLIGHTS

Here are just three of the bundles that will be up for grabs this February!

1. Hocking Hills Adventure Bundle – Embark on an unforgettable Hocking Hills adventure with a two-night stay at Ravenwood Castle. Have fun on a rappelling or nature trek with Hocking Hills Adventure Trek, take on a 3-mile river trip from Adventure Pro Outdoors, and enjoy a delicious meal at TheFeed in nearby Logan!
2. Lancaster Pennsylvania Stay Bundle – Enjoy two nights at the charming Country Hearth Bed & Breakfast, featuring cozy rooms, private baths, and a board game library with 200+ games. Explore the area with coffee from New Holland Coffee Co., homemade ice cream at Lickity Split, retro fun at Decades, and handmade treasures at Lancaster Troll Market!
3. German Village Stay Bundle – Escape to the charming German Village in Columbus! Savor brunch at Pistacia Vera, stay overnight at the stylish South Wind Motel, and enjoy Dewey’s Pizza before indulging in sweet treats from The Chocolate Café.

Winning bidders will donate on Ravenwood’s Extra Life page, ensuring that the donation goes directly to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Once we verify your donation, we’ll reach out to confirm contact information and your bundle will be mailed via USPS.
