LAST CHANCE! Hoop & Stick 2021 Donation Matching!
This year marks the first year that Hoop & Stick Con has been cancelled at Ravenwood Castle. For those of you who may not know, Hoop & Stick Con is a weekend-long event full of board gaming, roleplaying sessions, and camaraderie like you’ve never seen it. The core of Hoop & Stick however is raising money for Extra Life and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Ravenwood Castle is proud to have raised over $75,000 for Extra Life since Hoop & Stick Con’s inception nearly a decade ago. While our ninth annual Hoop & Stick Con was cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, we still want to continue to make an impact for the kids this year.
We are continuing the tradition of donating 50% of all room rentals during the originally scheduled convention period. Since we cannot host our event and bring in sponsors, we are instead matching donations. That’s right, Ravenwood Castle will match individual donations up to $250 per donor and up to $5,000 total! Donations are tax-deductible and ALL PROCEEDS go to help kids.
So why donate to Extra Life?
Extra Life unites thousands of gamers around the world to play games in support of their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Since 2008, Extra Life has raised more than $50 million for sick and injured kids. It is a year-round fundraising effort made possible by all the donors and those who put hard work into organizing gaming marathons and of course the gamers themselves! The money raised goes to fund research and training, purchase life-saving equipment, and pay for uncompensated care. The money that you donate directly impacts the lives of children and their families.
While our online donation drive stays active all year long, our matching offer is for a limited time. Donations made by the end of the day on Friday, February 26th will be eligible for the match, and Ravenwood Castle will be making the matching contribution on Saturday, February 27th. Please contact info@ravenwoodcastle.com with any questions. Thank you for your continued support throughout the years – stay safe!
